For The Culture is a course that allows our KIPPsters to learn more about Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), develop character skills and discuss topics that are impacting our society. Our goal is to become a stronger community in the process and develop life skills that will be utilized this year and beyond.
A course designed to educate students in basic health and fitness. Throughout the course, students will be able to do the following: track their progress through a series of fitness tests, learn basic fitness circuits (upper and lower body), and gain valuable lessons through teamwork and experiences.
During their introduction to the foundations of Visual Arts, students will learn the skills necessary to grow as artists and have a welcoming environment to express themselves creatively. Students will be introduced to art history, become familiar with a variety of artists and historical periods, and get to engage with various visual mediums like pencil drawings, watercolor, 3-D art, and clay!
A course designed to introduce and build on basic computer science concepts. Throughout the course students develop problem-solving skills as they persist through difficult tasks such as creating interactive games or stories using programming concepts they've learned.
